Grace and peace to you from God our Fathers and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise the Lord.  After more than a year of not having any planned events, we were invited to lead the music worship for two services on Easter Sunday.  One is the Easter Sunrise Service in Dallas Chinese Bible Church hosted by Dallas Area Chinese Pastors Fellowship.  And the other is in Grace Chinese Baptist Church.  After deciding the team and the songs, our first practice for the singers was at Cordia’s house.  Gathering around the piano, as Crausy started playing the first set of the songs, Christ The Lord Is Risen Today and Crown Him with Many Crowns, I remember clearly that I was so touched by the presence of God and the lyrics.  Yes, Christ the Lord is risen, we shall sing and celebrate!  He has the victory over death, whom or what shall we fear?  He is alive today; we will always have hope in Him.  And yes, we should all bow down before Him and lift up His name above all names.  To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
With God’s grace and mercy, both events turned out to be great.  To be honest, we were still making quite a bit of mistakes during our final rehearsal.  I was disappointed I was still making so many mistakes.  But while I was practicing by myself, I was reminded that it was His grace that enabled me to stand up there to lead music worship, not the perfection of us.  Yes, His grace is sufficient for me, for His power is made perfect in weakness.
On the Easter Sunday, after we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord in DCBC, a sister in Christ came up to me and said that she can see the presence of the Lord while we were leading music.  I said praise the Lord.  It was all His doing.  How else could we explain the day-and-night difference between that day and the day before?  And in GCBC, it was awesome to see both Chinese-speaking and English-speaking members rocking the house and worshipping Him.
Special thanks to Crausy Ross, our music director.  Not only did she arrange all the music, she also spent a lot of time working with each individual instrumentalist to make sure the band would be playing in harmony.  And thanks to our Audio/Visual Engineers, David Siu and Wister Wong, we were able to have smooth practices and live events.  With their recommendation, we decided to acquire some wireless in-ear monitors so that we can expand our listening quality.  In addition, we decided to use Ableton Live, a music sequencer, to help us keep the tempo.  And of course, thanks to the accommodation of DCBC and GCBC.
And also, praise the Lord, Pastor Seung and Catherine Wu from 4C were able join the team and help us out in this event.  How beautiful it is that we can all come to worship the Lord together in Him.

In One Music Academy

Suite #104 is coming along

As mentioned in our last newsletter, we have decided to relocate to suite 104, right next to Dallas Chinese Christian Herald Crusade, in the plaza of Grace Chinese Baptist Church.  We finally passed the electrical inspections, and are now waiting to pass the framing inspection.  To save the cost, we decided to wire the category 6 cables ourselves.  Thanks to our special task force members, David and Billy, our cables are now in place.  Each room will have three network outlets for high-speed audio and video transmission.  We just need to terminate the ends of the cables and connect them to the wall brackets.
The remodeling is taking a lot longer than expected; it seems to get even slower after the ice storm in February.  But we have faith that God has His timing and will continue to lead us.  We will continue to push through and overcome any obstacles ahead of us.  And this will be a place where people will come to learn music and to use their musical talent to testify God’s glory.  This is the vision that God has given us, and this is our focus.  Please continue to keep the successful completion of this project in your prayers.
